We have lived in this subdivision for eight months. There are perks that we enjoy out of of living here. The place is generally peaceful with guards securing the entrance and exit gates. It's clean, the collection of garbage is regular, and there are people who are paid to maintain the cleanliness of the parks and the sidewalks. The neighbors are friendly. And we are also near a large mall-it's just a 15 minutes-walk away, and the mall is along the main highway. The church is also a 15-minute walk away from the subdivision. And most of all, it's located at a higher elevation, meaning, no floods.....
Blocks 1 to 12 of this subdivision were constructed sometime 2009. Our house, situated in Block 13, was constructed on 2010. Year 2013 and there are still no franchised transportation plying the route from the subdivision going downtown. And this is our dilemma.
Our kids with their large and heavy bags take the motorcycles which serve as "public transportation" in this urban area. The motorcycle will deliver them to the highway and there, they can ride the jeepneys that are going downtown. Now, imagine if it's raining hard....
The senior citizens are forced to ride the taxi. When you want to go shopping, you either take the taxi or the motorcycle, or just walk.Taxi fare costs you 60 pesos, motorcycle fare costs 10 pesos.
If there are mass transports here like jeepneys or multicabs, the fare will only be 7.50 pesos for regular fare and 6 pesos for discounted fares (for students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities). Aside from this low fare, it will also be convenient for us residents who do not have our own cars to travel from the subdivision to the mall or to the church.
If there are only about 5 public utility vehicles plying from the subdivision to the highway this dilemma is solved.

Happy Father's Day!
I'm just taking this time to greet all the fathers and soon-to-be fathers, and mothers-who-are-also-fathers. To all of you,
A very blessed HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
And to my dearest husband, the father of our two kids, thank you for the love you have shown to our kids and guidance you have given to them.

Raining Cats and Dogs!
Typhoon Pablo was indeed a strong storm. You can hear the wind blowing and howling, and rumbling, just like a large truck passing in front of your house. You can even watch the show at our garage. The thrashing of the plants and the trees as the wind blows. That was last December 2012.
Now, as I'm writing this blog, the rains have started outside.I can hear the large drops falling on the roof. I can feel the cool wind as it blows through our windows.
Actually, I'm in a dilemma. I still have to go someplace and the heavy downpour prevents me from going out. But I have to go. Really...
Well, actually, it's not solely the rain that's preventing me from going out. It's this situation that we have here in Bellevue. We don't have any PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION here, as in no jeepney, no multicab, no motorela. Good for you if you have your own car. Yes, we do have one but it's in NGCP. Leo's using it and I'm home... so no car.
What do we have here as a public transport? HABAL-HABAL, you know that motorcycle......
Now you understand my dilemma....
Here's hoping that the rain will go away because little me still has to go to MUST.....

This is my new "racket". Engr. Emma Paderanga-Dongaol and Engr. Alexander Laureano both introduced this income generating project to me.
I was into short article writing sometime in 2011 before Sendong happened. After Sendong, no more writing...
Then my daughter, Herabelle, introduced to me aip.surveys. Answering surveys will only take you abut 2 to 15 minutes and aip rewards points depending on whether you qualify or not. If not, you just get 5 points but if you qualify, the rewards is more than that. I've earned more than 5000 points last April 2013, so I converted 5000 points to PhP 500 ssodexo gift certificate.I'm still waiting for the arrival of the certificate. Hopefully it will arrive sometime this month..... Pleaaaaaassssssse post office......
And now, clixsense.com pay to click.... Just click and wait a few moments then view the advertisements on your pc/laptop's monitor and after viewing you'll be awarded $0.001 hehehehe.
I've been in this racket since June 1, 2013 and I've earned a hefty $0.31 hahahaha!!!!
But this is better than just viewing my fb account without any pay.... right??????
Try it...... you'll become addicted to it....

New location...
2012 is a year of change for me and my family...
The day after Sendong happened, we lived in my mother-in-law's house in Terry Hills, Bulua.
I tendered my resignation as instructor/chairperson in the civil engineering department of the College of Engineering and Architecture of Cagayan de Oro College on January (or was it early February) since I was already confident that I will be accepted as a faculty member in Mindanao University of Science and Technology.
February, I was advised to have radiotherapy for metastasis had already occurred and it affected the bones in my left thigh. I filed a leave of absence for two months and went to Cebu city for treatment.
March, I returned to CdO and enjoyed the rest of my sick leave.
April 16, 2012 was the effectivity date of my resignation. no work....
April 18, I was told by Engr. Joseph Cloyd Lamberte, the chairman of the CE department of MUST that I have a load in the school for summer classes. Praise God! At least I have some source of income for my meds and for payment of my loans.... I started my part-time job in MUST that same day.
I continued as a part-time instructor in MUST on June 2013. Mid-July, my friend, Engr. Sheila Cabaraban, former dean of the CEA in COC sent an SMS to me, informing me that CHED Region X is looking for a, Education Specialist. She encouraged me to apply and I did. (Unfortunately, the slot was not filled in 2012). The renovation of our house in Bellevue, Upper Carmen, also began with me as inspector/resident engineer.
August I was encouraged by Dr. Butch Culura, CEA dean of MUST, to continue my stint as faculty in the school. He recommended me for full-time status...
September 3, my appointment as full-time instructor started. My October I was swore in by the VPAA.
October 14, we transferred to our new residence in Bellevue.
November and December were busy months since I became a member of the task force for accreditation in the college.
Changes.... all for the better....
taking the day as it comes
HELLO GUYS!
How's life? I hope that you're taking everything in stride.
Always remember, no man is an island...
There are always people which you can run to for help,, for assistance....
God will never forsake you..
Quoting the bible, "ask and you shall receive
seek and you shall find,
knock and it shall be opened"
Just take each day as it comes....
God bless us all always!

The Day After...
Morning....Thank God the waiting has ended.
When we were up on the roof waiting to be rescued, my phone kept on ringing. I know it's my husband, calling to check on us. My cellphone is "half alive".... It rings but the screen is black. When we waded through the flood I had put it in the pocket of my jogging pants..... so I used my daughter's phone, which she kept inside a wallet in her backpack to contact my husband who had already arrived in Cagayan de Oro from Iligan City and informed him not to come home any more because Balulang is flooded....
The morning after... we returned to our house Leo arrived home at 630 am having walked from Macanhan to Balulang since no 4-wheeled vehicles can proceed to our place passing through this route. He brought some water and food for us. Around 730 am, my in-laws, Bebet, Ida, Q and Toto arrived. Thanks to the Lord Almighty, they were in Cagayan de Oro for whatever reason they were here. Q used his taxi to transport them to our barangay and they traveled at a longer route, along the Roa logging road. With their help we removed the 6 inch mud from the floor of our house. Some people from NGCP where my husband works delivered some water which we used to wash away the mud which stuck to our appliances, furniture and other things. It took us until 6 in the evening just to remove the mud from the floor.
The next days Leo and I spent our time there in our house. Sometimes the kids accompanied us.Even at Christmas we were at our house washing everything that had mud on it, cleaning the floor and the walls, repairing the doors and windows....
But we are always thankful to those who in one way or another had helped us face and hurdle this challenge that had befallen us.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY ALWAYS.
